November marks another significant milestone for Chiggy Nsofor Foundation as we celebrate the successful graduation of the second cohort of our Skill Scale-Up Program.
Over the past 3 months, 19 dedicated STARS engaged in an intensive training cycle that combined skill advancement with personal growth, discipline, and character building. Throughout the program, they showed remarkable dedication and consistency, successfully completing their coursework, practical sessions, and capstone projects; a true reflection of their commitment to excellence.
Cohort 2 carried forward the momentum of the first cohort, embracing a fast-paced learning model rooted in accountability, collaboration, and hands-on application. During the course of the training, they demonstrated steady progress, growing in confidence, expanding their digital creativity, and working together effectively to turn ideas into real outcomes. This graduation reflects a deeper alignment to the standards expected in today’s tech-based and digital-driven industries.
One of the most memorable parts of the ceremony was the retrospective presentation, “Cohort 1: The Story So Far.” The presentation highlighted their journey beyond graduation, spotlighting how their skills have evolved into taking initiative, and creating impact in their personal lives and communities. Their story served as a compelling reminder of the long-term value of intentional skill building, mentorship, and character formation.
A highlight of the ceremony was the speech by our Founder, Chiggy Nsofor. She passionately reinforced the idea that character is the foundation of lasting success, noting that while skills open doors, character keeps them open. Her message focused on four core pillars: “When opportunities meet efforts miracles happen. Skills will open doors but character will keep you there, let humility follow you, let discipline guide you, let integrity define you, the world is full of talents, but character is what will set you apart, as you step into the world hold these 4 pillars closely:
- “Never stop learning: stay curious, stay teachable and stay hungry to learn.
- Serve: Even when there is little or no payment, sometimes the experience, the relationship you build and the trust you build will take you further than any immediate reward.
- Be a person of impact: Let your life bless others, we are not just teaching you skills, we are also teaching you character, don’t take advantage of people, avoid shortcuts. Choose excellence, choose kindness, choose impact, we want to tell your story someday, above all stay connected to God, your skill may open doors but his favor will take you into rooms you may never imagine.
- Love: Love is the reason the Skill Scale-Up program exists, love is what holds us together and today that same love is sending you out into the world stronger, wiser, equipped with capacity. Love brought you here now, go forth and spread that love wherever you go and shine bright to the world.”
Bringing her address to a close, she shared heartfelt gratitude, recognizing the dedication, selflessness, and unwavering support of the phenomenal CNF Army, she acknowledged their commitment behind the scenes.
The ceremony was particularly touching as parents and guardians expressed deep appreciation to CNF for the invaluable work being done, sharing moving testimonies about how the lives of their children and wards have already started changing positively since joining the program.
As we celebrate this milestone, we are reminded once again why this program matters; young people have immense potential, and when they are supported intentionally and given the right structure, they thrive. CNF continues to champion their development, preparing them to step into the world as capable, self-assured, and purpose-driven youths who will influence the tech, digital, creative and economic space positively.
