CNF EXTENDS SUPPORT TO VULNERABLE FAMILIES IN MANGU, PLATEAU STATE

The Chiggy Nsofor Foundation (CNF) recently conducted a food relief outreach targeted at families affected by insecurities in Northern Nigeria. This initiative highlights the Foundation’s ongoing effort to eradicate poverty in the country by supporting disadvantaged communities with vital food items.

The outreach, which was held in Mangu Local Government Area (LGA) of Plateau state on April 13, benefited several families from Kantoma community. Beneficiaries of the programme were given food items such as rice, beans, corn, garri, oil, snacks for children, and many more.

Additionally, the volunteers and representatives of CNF spoke with beneficiaries, discussing their needs and how insecurity in the area has impacted their lives and livelihood. Plateau, the twelfth largest Nigerian state, has witnessed increasing insecurity, including attacks by gunmen and banditry. This affirms the critical need for initiatives like the Chiggy Nsofor Foundation’s food relief efforts.

Speaking during the presentation, the Founder, Chiggy Nsofor reiterated the mission and commitment of the foundation to fighting poverty, emphasizing ongoing efforts to provide relief to those in need. She also expressed sincere appreciation to beneficiaries and their families.

In February, many vulnerable families benefitted from CNF food relief outreach. These families from Changal, Kikau, Gaude, Kinat, Tul kinat, Jwak and Maitumbi communities all assembled in Tuwan community of Plateau state and were given essential food items.

The Foundation has supported a large number of families in Plateau state since its launch three months ago demonstrating tangible impact through vital food assistance.
