In commemoration of International Women’s Day 2026, Chiggy Nsofor Foundation held an impactful outreach at Anglican Girls Grammar School (AGGS), Gudu, Abuja, under the theme “Give to Gain.” The highlight of the event was a powerful session led by our Founder, Chiggy Nsofor, who focused on the very foundation of success: ‘Self-belief’.
In a moving display of affirmation, Chiggy led the students in a collective affirmation, urging them to internalize the message: “I am a girl, my dreams are valid, I believe in myself, and I will change the world.”
The event was defined by heartfelt conversations rather than a standard lecture. Chiggy addressed the students on “The power of a girl who dreams and believes in herself,” tackling the internal barriers that often prevent young women from pursuing ambitious paths.
Chiggy provided the students with a roadmap for success, centering the discussion on three critical pillars:
- Reinforcing that a girl’s potential is fueled by her unwavering belief in her own future.
- Teaching that intentional goal-setting is the bridge between a dream and its realization.
- Reminding every student that success is found in the courage to believe in oneself even when circumstances become challenging.
In a poignant moment of reflection, Chiggy challenged the students to look ahead. She told them to imagine who they will be in 40 years’ time and asked if they would be proud of the woman they had become. She reminded them that the woman they will be in the future is built on the choices they make today, emphasizing that now is the time to build the character and skills to become that woman.
During the interactive session, students courageously shared their dreams and the specific fears-social, financial, and personal, that they face. The CNF team provided practical advice, reinforcing the idea that a student’s potential is defined not by her current circumstances, but by her courage to dream.
In a post-event meeting, the Principal of AGGS, Mrs. Nkiru Nwofor, extended her deep appreciation to the team. She noted that the school is eager to host more initiatives that challenge the students to unlock their full potential.
“We are more than glad to partner with CNF to improve in the aspects of skill acquisition and financial literacy,” Mrs. Nwofor stated. “It is essential to get them ready for the future so they can be financially independent at a very young age.”
The outreach concluded with a strong sense of momentum. By providing encouragement and sharing lived experiences, the CNF team left with a reinforced belief in the brilliance of the AGGS students. These young women are proving to be the change-makers of today, ready to lead with sharp minds and open hearts.
CNF remains committed to this partnership, looking forward to future collaborations that arm these students with the practical skills needed to thrive in a modern economy.
